Whatever we eat or drink is comprised of calories. Similarly our body consumes or burns calories though the ratio can vary.

If we are in the habit of exercise or doing some physical activity then the rate of burning of calories will be fast and if we sit still throughout the day even then our body burns calories but with a slower pace. If there is a balance between the calories in take and consumption then the weight of the body will be maintained. For example if we eat 2,000 calories everyday and consume 500 calories out of those 2,000 then the process of losing weight is started.

On the other hand if the calories intake is 2,000 that remain unconsumed then extra calories will be stored in the body as fat. This fat is hard to dissolve without doing extra efforts. So this fat is what makes us obese and increases our weight.

If you have gone through gastric bypass surgery then it is ok to be on gastric bypass diet that allows you to consume less food. Other than such condition, reducing your calories intake drastically is not a healthy thing to do. It harms the body instead of doing any good to a person. By suddenly dropping the calories you can fall victim of scarcity of food. If the nutritional needs are not fulfilled then you can become weak and there are also chances of developing some serious health problem.

Without burning calories it is not possible to lose weight. If you select low calories food through medifast coupons even then consuming those is necessary to avoid storing fat in your body.

In order to know how much calories each food item contains check the labels on the food or consult a dietitian for the best advice, and remember to stay with it, and you will see success in your weight loss goals.
