To get a good travel wardrobe, a woman needs to make sure that each item is essential to her trip. Nothing can ruin your vacation more than if you brought a bag full only of resort wear to a ski lodge or trench coats and woollen trousers to the Caribbean.
The majority of your clothing depends on your destination, but there are a few key items that you should bring along to get a great and fully-functioning travel wardrobe for women.
Bring this: a simple denim jacket.
Not that: tie-dyed sweater with the multicoloured buttons.
A great denim jacket, especially one in a dark wash with a simple design, works well for practically any outfit. It dresses up more casual outfits and jazzes down formal ensembles. Even if you’re heading off to somewhere hot and humid, denim jackets work well as bikini cover ups, and they are light enough for cool summer evenings
Bring this: your collection of colourful bangles, bracelets, bead necklaces, etc.
Not that: your expensive jewellery collection.
Even if your diamonds and platinum are insured, it’s best to keep them at home in your jewellery box or safe. Spruce up your outfits abroad with cheap and creative accessories. The more fun and colourful your anklets, scarves and belts, the more attention you’ll get and the more unique you will look.
Bring this: a little black dress.
Not that: floor-length, full-sleeved gown with sequins and beaded embroidery.
Every woman knows firsthand or at least has heard of the power of a little black dress, so why not take yours along with you as you travel the world? With a chic French twist, pearls, some red lipstick and serious heels, your little black dress will suit formal parties and events. With a denim blazer, a funky belt and several bangles on each arm, your little black dress will work great for a day of shopping or visiting tourist spots.
