Up to now, it is still a hotly debated topic between parents whether they should use a blanket or a baby sleep sack for their babies. While some argue that the first one is safer and that the other is more dangerous, which one really is more ideal? There are some parents who are left confused regarding this matter.

To put an end to all doubts, let us make a short comparison between the two products to give you a clearer view of which one of these you should choose.

A baby blanket is widely used by many parents around the globe to serve as an additional covering to their infants when they go to bed. There is a wide variety of colors, designs, sizes and shapes that can be chosen from with these products. They are also made up of different kinds of fabric. Most blankets are soft and can really give the warmth that is needed by babies. However, there is one problem with these products. They are usually blamed for the death of several infants in the past. This is because they tend to cover the faces of babies which can make it hard for them to breathe. Other parents also said that they tend to go around the necks of infants and leave them entangled to their own blankets.

On the other hand, a baby sleeping bag is very similar to a blanket because it is also a piece of fabric that acts as a covering for a baby. But, they differ in form and structure because a sack fits perfectly into a baby’s body. Unlike a blanket, a sack has a zipper, has holes on each of its sides and its bottom portion is the only one which is wide. This is why it is highly preferred by most parents. It is safer to use because it will not cover your baby’s face when he is sleeping. It would also let your baby move freely without him ending becoming covered by this piece of fabric. This means that this product is also able to provide comfort to your baby. Based from these comparisons, which one do you think is the right type of covering for your little one?
